Newspaper dated February 4, 1888
In favor of Mr. MOORE:Whereas, It is the earnest desire of the undersigned citizens and taxpayers in the town of Castleton, that they should be represented in the Board of supervisors of the county of Richmond, by a man of unblemished and unsullied reputation, honest, and upright character, of sterling integrity and unexcelled business capacity: now therefore be it.
Resolved: That in Robert MOORE, the present incumbent of said office, we have a man possessed of said office, we have a man possessed of all the above qualifications. One whose record is before us; who is attentive to the duties of his office and the interests of the people which be represents. One who has shown by his past actions in the Board of Supervisors what he will do in the future, if by any means we can prevail upon him to again accept a renomination. Therefore be it.
Resolved: That we the undersigned citizens and taxpayers, having at heart and dealing the best interests of own town and county, and appreciating the past services of Robert MOORE, do hereby unite and call upon him, and earnestly and respectfully request the said Robert MOORE to allow his name to be again used as a candidate for the office of Supervisor:
